Taking Care! Daycare
Taking Care! is a non-profit, licensed Parent and Child Development Centre established to assist and support the participants of Taking Charge! with childcare while attending on-site services, full time programs or work experience.
At Taking Care! we believe every child has the right to love, respect, and quality care in a safe environment.
We also believe that families need to have available safe, nurturing, flexible and affordable child-care for them to participate fully in training and the labour force. We recognize the importance of developing the whole child and strive to encourage physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth by providing opportunities through planned programs and creative play.
At Taking Care! we embrace inclusion and celebrate diversity as a means to foster the well-being of every child and thereby enriching our communities. All children are entitled to full participation and support to meet their individual needs using a strength based, family centred approach whereby we all learn from each other.
Taking Care! will assess the needs of the child and offer support to families to find resources to assist the centre and the family. Taking Care! will also assist parents by providing parenting and childcare workshops throughout the year.
Our Early Childhood Educators at Taking Care! are trained and knowledgeable in child development and meet the standards of Manitoba Child Care Licensing Agency. All staff are trained in Emergency and Infant-Child CPR, Epi-pen, Asthma and Seizures. All staff are subject to Criminal Reference and Child Abuse Registry checks.
Child-care is available for participants who are accessing on-site programs and services. We provide assistance in locating a licensed subsidized day care in the community, and also provide assistance in completing subsidy applications.
We also offer parenting programming for our participants, such as Circle of Security.

Monday to Friday from
7:00am – 5:00pm
(With the exception of statutory holidays.)

Taking Care! is licensed for 64 spaces:
24 infants/toddlers and 40 preschoolers.
