Design Rationale
A tulip was chosen as the inspiration for the design as tulips were one of the first philanthropic gifts given in the history of fundraising by the Dutch. The four petals of the flower each represent one of the four founding partners of the firm as well as overlapping droplets of water coming together as one to symbolize the way fundraising gathers individual donations nourish those in need. The droplet/petal motif is carried into the type where the serifs in the typeface have been modified to echo the curve at the bottom of the droplets.
